I totally agree with what you're saying! The thing is: Most of the VERY GOOD American movies are those made in the 50's, 60's &70's when Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, Ernest Borgnine, Sally field, James Cagney, Rita Hayworth were around! This is awhile back & this were the Golden Years of Hollywood in the time were actors & Actresses really KNOW how to act, memorize the scripts. Those days are gone, all that's left is 2nd rate acting, special computer generated effect movies...:(

@joel750, anybody can call themselves American as long as they live in America, or have lived there. I agree with you, most American movies now a days are garbage, and a lot of the time, instead of going for talent, filmmakers go for "beauty". (Aka plastic boobs and the like). Still, there have been many "American" movies that are excellent, and there are still good ones.

Dude, what is your problem with me!!?? So Ang Lee is Taiwanese, Taiwan is still a part of The People's Republic Of China, correct? Taiwanese Chinese...What difference does it make? It's BOTH Asian right!? So you really think American Movies is better than Asian movies huh? That's your opinion keep it and i'll keep mine.
