  • You're right. Woody had to know he was walking into a buzz saw. I was 13 when this game was played and I still have to say this USC team is one of the best I've ever seen. They could have given the Dolphins a good game.

  • Playing the greatest football team of all-time in USC does this to people!! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? It is difficult playing against perfection. FIGHT ON BABY!!!

  • I think that this shows that Woody's attack of the Clemson player in the '78 Gator bowl was not a fluke. Woody was very, very, VERY passionate about the game and especially with his OSU teams. To get animated on the sidelines is one thing but the attack players from the other team, for making a good play, is beyond over the top.

  • I was at that game. The Buckeyes were getting waxed when that interception happened and poor Woody couldn't take it anymore. Right before that same game, Woody Hayes shoved LA Times Photographer Art Rogers camera into his face. This was probably the greatest USC football team in its history and the OSU didn't have a chance. Woody had to know it, but couldn't do anything about it.

  • lol that's ole woody, he dont give a damn about anyone but the buckeyes!!
