Here is how to replace the cap and rotor on a Chevrolet Astro Van or GMC Safari with a 4.3 liter Vortec V6 engine. This is an important part of a tune up. If your van is running poorly, try replacing the cap and rotor. They are supposed to be replaced every 30,000 miles, and changing the cap and rotor without doing anything else can make a big difference. If the contacts inside the cap and rotor are worn or corroded, it makes poor spark or can even cause the spark plugs to misfire. You can replace the cap and rotor for under $30, so it's a cheap fix.

  • @GAZAJED Awesome! I'm glad you like the bike so much. You'll have lots of fun on it. Don't rev it too hard, and do your regular maintenance, and it will run for a long, long time.
