anybody else curious why the f-35 doesn't have a bubble canopy? because that could seriously boost dogfighting capabilities :/ as an aspiring fighter pilot myself i'd like to be able to see behind me

@SlyNicolai F22 is extremely powerful...HOWEVER....it's very unstable and has crashed a very numerous amount of times due to plain failures not due to combat.

F-22 can only track 16 smart one. Don't know the #'s for the Sukhois but they can't track 30+ thats for sure. So the F-35 wins. Not only can the F-35 track 23 targets with its radar but it can track many many more using DAS.

This thing is fucking crazy! and the F-22. I don't like the Euro variant though. Seems to have to many parts to me. The hovering thing. This will whoop the harier though. And hopefully replace the f-18

Wrong! F-35 can only track 23 targets compare to the F-22 Raptor 100 targets. The Russian Su-35Bm only track 30 targets & Su-50 track only 32 targets.

yup...this is because the JSF is multirole task jetfighter that US design for dogfight,recon,bombing and many more..this makes the capability of the JSF is lower than the f-22 because it trying to do many task at the same time...but if it get in dogfight believe me that the JSF cant run,cant turn and cant climb...

yeah the F-35 is a good aircraft able to dogfight and go in to enemy territory and blow up the enemy BUT in a dogfight the F-35 is nowhere as good as the F-22 is in A-A combat.but the F-35 is supposed to be better then any current russian fighter. they simulated combat(Computer) for the JSF and the only way the enemy was able to win was denying the JSF of fuel meaning the shot down tankers. of course that was just an expensive video game saying that

yup,it really both of it got the same AESA radar but the F-35 got an improved AESA radar which is classified..i cant find it in wiki and other source...but believe me dude,the JSF is fuckin better...

the F-22 has the same radar both F-22 and JSF have AESA.

F-35 can pick up about 35 target simultaneuosly but the rapto only 25 i guess..

The F-35 is an incredible and effective aircraft, it was built for today's world, cheap, stealthy, extremely advanced technologically (look up the ad for the F-35's radar) and has a fairly good range.
