Julia Matos is an ex-convict who goes at large after eleven years in prison, trying to gain confidence of her daughter, Marisa, and the main obstacle is Julia's sister, Yolanda Pratini, who has brought up Marisa surrounded by luxuries and pampering. Yolanda, who chose to marry to get ahead in life, always envied her sister, and since Julia was arrested, she did her best to become Marisa's mother. Julia, who is courageous and determined, tries, without much success, to restore out of prison, while making all sorts of tricks to be accepted by his daughter, who treats her with hostility and indifference. Marisa is a teenager with rebellious temperament, does not know her father but is dominated by the aunt, who brought her up. Finally, Julia falls in love with Caca, a diplomat who is disillusioned with his profession.
