Student: It's very different than a public school. It's a huge change. My grades went [from] 75 to up in the 90s (80s to 90s). My grades just spurted up.
Ms. Clarkson: We had our science fair last week, and it was a huge success. The students worked very very hard. And we had one gentleman come up to another teacher and say, "I thought this was a high school." To which, when he told me, I went, [gasp] "What did you say? Of course it's a high school." But what he meant was the level of research and the commitment the students had shown to their projects was so high, that he thought they were doing at least first year university level work if not higher. And that he was that impressed.
Parent: In the beginning she was really struggling with math, for instance and didn't have a lot of confidence. Because the grade 9 class is so small her teacher, Mr. Bigford, was able to really work with her and take her from the level she was at to doing extremely well in the class. We were so happy with that. It was a great experience.

We haven't had the privilege of attending the school but have visited the school numerous times and observed the staff assisting the youth to really make a difference in their academic and community service.
