New York City's subway idol Alice Tan Ridley doing audition on the 2nd day of America's Got Talent season 5 auditions in the Big Apple. The mother of Oscar-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe came through the semi-finals after impressing the judges' panel with Etta James' song "At Last".

@TheSmfretta I'm not sure signing in the Subway is the best way to get noticed, I'm not saying it's not trying, but Alice Tan Ridley should have tried to make demos and get into the business like a legitimate singer does. However, she now got her chance and I hope she does well!
