Wish it were video but I'm still trying to figure out how to get DVD footage here. I'm posting today an audio clip of the golden voice of Wayne Adams from the 1971 season. About 5 minutes long of Wayne calling the action during qualifying. Thanks to Stan Kalwasinski for giving me the original clip on CD. Hope you enjoy. If I get enough response I will add more of the CD.

  • OMG raceway park i loved going there as a kid I had a family friend who raced in the races. -Jeff treptow- I cant member his car number though. This audio just makes me think of so many memories there.

  • He was car #100, check out RacewayParkHistory (dot) com for a bunch of pictures.

  • Well is that you Steve from Racingonline?

  • That's me. We have talked in the past I believe. I own Short Track News and Raceway Park History.

  • This audio brings me back big time. What a great track with great racing. Didn't channel 26 wciu broadcast racing from raceway park once in a while. I wonder if that footage still exsists?

  • Heard it still may exist but have never seen it. I got a bunch of DVD's with Raceway footage from the 50's up until the last year of 2000 if interested.

  • I don`t know what div my Dad drove in I was only 5 or 6 years old.I know he drove with Bill Pronger and Bill Cornwall. He drove the number 63 J Gillis Jackson. I hope you can get them videos up loaded on here.

    Tom/Wisconsin.

  • I used to live a block away from Raceway. When I didn't go, I'd sit out in the back yard & listen to them on Friday & Saturday nights back in the late '50's & early '60's. My family moved to AZ in 1963. I moved back a few years later; went every chance I could.

What division did your Dad race in? I may have been there the night he raced. I have some programs from the nights I went.

My cousin raced there, too. You might have heard of him: Bud Koehler, #77? He's in the still photo above.
