  • hi greenman i have not seen this video for nearly two years. In fact i forgot i recorded it.. it brought back memories for the reason i learnt it in the first place. yes I’m conscious that i have been 'away' for some time. not physically, just inn my own life.. you might not understand what I’m saying. I still work on lots of new songs with little time to remember the old ones like this.. its like passing through songs on a train journey, beautiful scenes fleetingly pass by and are gone..

  • its enough that the journey had been made. thank you for your kind words. and reminder

  • Another song I have loved for a very long time...you seem to add another layer to each one I hear you sing...they go just just a little deeper. A straight, gentle shot to the heart. Michael's songs - and your performances - are like that.

  • Beautiful version. It has a Rod McKuen feel to it.

  • my lord, kind sir. a long-time fave of mine by Michael. I love your version. It does a wonderful job of highlighting the tragedy of the message in the song. outstanding!

  • Great stuff i-ching

Can you tell me whether you have used standard or drop-D tuning for this piece?

    Cheers!!

  • Understated masterly performance Mike after a first hearing i feel as though i know this song intimately. loved it!
