  • he was VERY good but i had no idea what he just said

  • One of the best advices is to disect and the best guitar you like and figure out what they do. Check out Curtis Mitchell's slideshow in youtube, "Play'n Rock'n Roll". It has a 2 minute highly melodic guitar solo. I know Curtis and used to watch him play, he is actually a blues guitar player and has been gradually playing more rock. Rock is actually blues that is "rocked" out feeling.

  • You have the hands of an angel.

  • @mikeytheskinhead Very true, I cannot do a run on the strings but I can play ANY SONG using traid chords. And I am TOTTALLY music illiterate. Just play by ear.

  • Yep, i already know this. but why criticise there are people who doesn't know about it.

    SO STOP THE CRITICISE!!!

  • @foshizRAWR what!!! i go with les paul

  • Advancing in guitar playing depends on the time you spend on practicing(the more the better), the difficulty of your training(start slow and then play as fast as you can) and the devotion you put into your guitar playing. I have been playing for 4 years, 3 hours a day and I enjoyed every second of it. Sometimes I played my guitar 12h a day straight.

  • @BrawlerBoy11 But if you dedicate this 11 months to actually get to know the guitar, instead of just learning cover songs, i think you can become quite a decent player.

Anyway, good luck on your guitar journeys, may it be pleasant and full of joy and nice experiences.
