2011 PGA Grand Slam of Golf Promo

The 2011 PGA Grand Slam of Golf will take place October 17 to October 19. To qualify for the Grand Slam field a player must win a Major Championship during the course of the calendar year. The major championships are: the Masters, the U.S. Open, the Open Championship and the PGA Championship. That means the event is comprised of just four players, competing for a $1.35 million purse.

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf is a memorable fan experience because fans get very close to the action - following the players down the fairway of every hole on the final day. The PGA of America partners with the Fairmont Southampton Resort to provide visitors with vacation packages built around the Grand Slam fan experience.

Hall of Fame golfer Ernie Els won the event last year, taking home Bermuda's famous pink jacket.
