That is definitely a baby rat. If you need a cage, I have one [and a water bottle and dish] that I can give to you... if you decide to keep him.

I say keep it!! I think it looks more like a mouse. I've had a pet rat and she was that best!! Take care of it ;_; I don't think it'd survive on it's own outside.

Ray, you could raise him! Call a local vet and find out what to feed him, how to care for him, etc. He looks healthy and big enough to survive.
