I have a grave doubt, whilst this may provide much needed food, it is tied in too heavily into the authorities. By this I mean that it is front line care professionals who identify people in need
"Care professionals such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, CAB and police identify people in crisis and issue them with a foodbank voucher."
Could this be used as yet another Government method of spying on the poor and needy? This needs more scrutiny!
I also have very mixed feelings about faith charities offering support. Aren't there any secular charities out there that help others on a purely humanitarian basis?
On the other hand without this support the disadvantaged would be facing starvation.

thank you trussel; trust,you helped us through a realy hard bit,the food and the support was invaluable. we try to give food now we are better off.
