@BustyerUniongoon ""laws to keep money out of politics"?
What does that even mean?"
Strange, this whole time you and I have both been using the words "money in politics," yet all of a sudden you don't know what the phrase means? Did you suddenly forget what we were discussing?
"The only power large corporations have is what they can by from corrupt govt officials to manipulate the economy."
You did not read my comment. This is getting ridiculous.

@JustinHampel "laws to keep money out of politics"?
What does that even mean? The more I read you comments the more I begin to see you only wish to grow government to hold up corporations and steal their wealth in hope you get something for doing nothing except taking sides in a self-declare class war.
The only power large corporations have is what they can by from corrupt govt officials to manipulate the economy. Remove the power to manipulate the economy that govt was never meant to have.
-
@BustyerUniongoon "Without the meddling of government in the economy there would be no influence, no power for large corporations to lobby for."
I understand that. What you fail to understand is that making the government so impotent causes a power shift. Power would be in the hands of large corporations by default because they have all the money and resources. Introduce laws to keep money out of politics, and you're on the road to recovery.

It is the characteristics of your retort being "feeble" and "sad" that make it so.
-
@JustinHampel "How does that disprove what I said?"
Without the meddling of government in the economy there would be no influence, no power for large corporations to lobby for.
That is a statement consistent with reality, you hapless half-wit.

I got charged over a hundred dollars for a 10 dollar overdraft on my checking account. Kind of an unreasonable amount for a 10 dollar overcharge.
-
@BustyerUniongoon And one more thing: saying my retort is "feeble" and "sad" doesn't make it so. Try making sure your statements are consistent with reality.
-
@BustyerUniongoon "The "free" in a free market economy is in reference to 'free of the manipulation of govt'."
How does that disprove what I said? Perhaps you should read my post again.
"What could be influenced if this existed? What are you blabbing about?"
Don't tell me I don't understand economics when you don't even understand the amount of power and influence large corporations have when we let them do whatever they want.
That average is a lie. Most of those 39 thousands employees got jack and shit in bonuses. The top 10% got almost all of the cash. With the top 1% making the most.

Remember in the Dark Ages when there were the wealthy ruling class with an obscene amount of wealth who still taxed the shit out of the peasants even though they were literally starving to death? It's a good thing times have changed. Oh, wait...
