If you're coming to Hungary, but only planning on visiting Budapest, think again! You can jump on a fast train to the hip and friendly southern university town of Szeged and have a blast. Bask in the gorgeous secessionist architecture, bathe in the odoriferous waters of the Anna Bathhouse, sip espresso and gorge on delicious pastries in an old elegant cafe and be sure to try the famous fisherman's soup. We love this town!

  • Hi, Drew. Thanks for this video. I'm sure i go there this summer! ;))

  • Wonderful, glad you enjoyed it. The thing that's wonderful is you can have a unique experience that's not as touristy as, say, in Budapest, but it's still an interesting and beautiful place. Not to mention that the people there are very friendly.

  • @chilipepper25 Szeged has become even more beautiful since then, so if you have a chance to visit again, don't hesitate! :)

  • I visited Szeged in April/May of 1999 as an 11 year old as part of a tour of the whole country - my grandfather was born in Szeged, so naturally we visited (I am an American). I loved the city even at such a young age, and I remember it as being the most beautiful Hungarian city I saw! Great place!

  • I have been living here in Szeged, and I love this city! The more people visit here is very nice!
