Around '78 or '79, he did aired a demo show of the Sinclavier on PBS. The show started as I was rushing to class, so I left my car stereo on and started it recording on a blank cassette (Yup, had a Sanyo that could record!). Over the decades I played that tape so much I had to to transfer the tape inside the cassette to a new housing more than once! Would love to recover that again, many cool demo tunes.

@therealsweep: MJ played the bass line on Billie Jean. It was indeed a synclavier, but MJ played it all in one take.

@YuzoTibi: yeah, it was a preset. I forget the name of the guy who owned the one they used, but it can be looked up.

ok, i'm desperate! i've been searching for a sound for years! here it is: /watch?v=a7FVlB-3b80 right there at 0:41 of the video! it's the thing that sounds like a guitar or a bass guitar going "dao, dadao, dao!" PLEASE help me! Is it from a certain synth? a certain sampler? I've heard it a lot in music from the 80's!

@pacific707
That's the same sound used in the intro of Michael Jackson's Beat It.
