  • I am surprised that this person made it as far as he has. His technique is so robotic. There is no fluidity to his movements. I will give him credit though, because there were some things done right. However, the bokken strikes were not. The strikes should be shomen-uchi (top-of-head) not sho "Dog" uchi. And one last thing ginnilo, Aikido is a harmonizing art. Your comments towards those people do not embrace the idea of Aikido.

  • @bluedude6 you're right...it's just that some people are idiots. Criticism is good but idiotic comments are irritating.

  • this kid think he can defeat me, he got 5 kyu haha i will beat his ass hard

    MMA for ever <3

  • Like I said before...you sound like an idiot. You did get one thing right, MMA is pretty awesome.

  • @Sirus362 there is competition in sport aikido but traditional aikido there is no competition

  • @Sirus362

    Please explain or elaborate. thanks

  • @ginnilo There is competition in Aikido so your wrong. Competition Tanto.

  • @Delfrod90 Agreed. There is a reason why this is called Shomenuchi, it is top-of-head strike. Not Sho"Dog"uchi.

  • Shomen uchi ikkyo omote looked so different from what we do in our dojo... So as Katate dori shionage omote did, we have to bend our knees more... Maybe all schools teach differently idk

  • Did the guy pass the test? 'Cause he would've failed at our dojo at the very least at iriminage

  • O well, not so bad, but it's ok for a 5th kyu... The fact is that the 2nd guy is doing it all wrong with the boken. First of all when you slice with it, it's top shouldn't drop bellow the partner's belt, and in some cases here it does, and the second thing is that boken never goes that much behind you when you start the swing, it's reccomended that it should only go up to 45degrees above your head if you know what I mean, that way the slice is more powerful. You'll see later on real katana slice

  • hey im mc from manila im currently 5th kyu and reviewing for 4th. anyway this guy, he's approach is wrong. the iriminage, its not the shoulder you're taking down. you just lead the head up then down. And please teach him the right foot work, hanmi, stance (bending for hara), body position and position of the hands(how he leads the uke and takes him/her down). please guide him because if this becomes a real situation he will be dead in an instance. and we dont want that do we?
