Other good trails here in San Diego; Daley's Ranch in Escondido, Lake Hodges(Hernandez Hideaway), (used to be called in my day's) Tony's Backyard, Elfin Forest, North and South Tecolote Canyon, Bear Memorial Park, and Florida Canyon. East County: Laguna Mountains, Lake Morena, for the more advanced riders; Palomar Mountain areas, Noble Canyon otherwise head up to BIG BEAR as still within San Diego County and hit the large amounts of trails scattered abroad in Big Bear Mountains. Happy riding :)
Here's a good MTB San Diego Local Canyon loop; Bear Memorial Park(warm up 2 miles of road before entering canyon) or getting off at University High School and either taking the North or South End of Rose Canyon that has a trail leading into Bear Memorial Park, heading east bound to Croc Trail, up and out onto Conrad Street, Left on Genessee Ave to North Tecolote Canyon to the Middle then to the South(by the golf course) and from there...? Otherwise a lot of the trails
Just started riding not to long ago and Tecolote has quickly become one of my favs. Still learning all the trails but it makes for a good time and pretty decent workout
