Bach's Fantasia in C Minor, played at the Cardinal Stritch University Piano Festival on December 1, 2007, by me. I recieved an "honorable mention" and a cash prize of $75.

Sorry that the tempo fluctuates so, but I think the pedal (especially right before returning to the original theme at the end), though unorthodox for Bach, adds to the majesty of the piece. The playfulness is also apparent in this interpretation, with (at least I think) beautiful counterpoint!

  • Not exactly the way I would play it, but there is alway more than one way to interpret a piece.

  • I LOVED your interpretation of this piece! Well done! You should have gotten first place! :)

  • While I don't agree with the interpretation of this piece, it was still a polished run through. Good job.
