race is brought too much into tipping. it really depends on the respect customers have. i don't care if your black or not.

tip your damn server or keep your ass at home and eat a turkey sandwich.

also, good for you for tipping 25 percent. you never know if you could have made that server's day, and karma will always get you back.

You're right. It can be so easy to mistake class for race and say 'black people don't tip'. But that's too simple . It's people with no class that don't tip, no matter their race. There IS a difference between niggas and blacks, and whites and white trash. We would all do better to keep that in mind before we stereotype groups of people. i'll say this, from my personal experiances as a server: i didn't walk into my serving position with any bias against race and tipping. but over the course of me working there, i became conditioned to expect black people not to tip me or to tip me very poorly. when i had a table of black people my first thought was always "oh great, no tip for me". but i made SURE that i always served them EXTRA well, because i didn't want to discriminate. and there was always a few black people who tipped well!

Hey, I'm a server in Jersey and whenever a big party of black people comes in, all the waitresses try to avoid taking them cause they assume they won't tip. It is a bad reputation caused by a few ignorant trashy bitches like Sharece. Fortunately I've had more tables where black people tip a really good amount like you, so thanks man.

Why is North American countries so fucked up on tips? Why not just give the waiters a minimum wage like every other goddamn country. Australia and Newzealand restaruants don't require tipping cos they get paid the minimum wage. And those two are developed white nations just like the US and canada
