Sam and Freddie are in love. But Sam's father (this time Spencer) want's Sam to love someone else. Freddie told Sam shouldn't "sell her heart" (then he tears off the contract of Sam & her father that says she has to marry that boy that Spencer want's her to marry) and Freddie told Sam not to give up. In the end Spencer dies and Sam and Freddie are togethe forever.
