AsSalamalaykum. You have done a great job with your series. However, as a nonhijabi I do not understand how a headcovering is necessary for a Muslim woman. It's just not pratical for todays society to put social pressure on women to cover their hair. Its not healthy or good for a womans self esteem. It has nothing to do with modesty since the headscarf is not necessary to obtain a level of modesty. It has more to do with a woman having to be defined by Islam her every waking minute.

This ONLY applies to the Christain woman when she is at church attending to her prayers. This is unlike the Muslim woman who is wearing hijab anytime she leaves her home.

no, the niqab was for the women of Mohamed (saw), but the hijab was for ALL women of ALL times, brother. There are many proofs for this, please do some research, brother, and educate the women in your family with wisdom, for Allah will reward you on the day of Judgement, insha Allah.
