Cruise Loud or Quiet - Exhaust Cutouts Installed on Resonator Tubes

I decided to have my cake and eat it too. After installing the resonator tubes, it really quieted the Shelby down. Almost too quiet. It was very enjoyable on cruises. I could speak in a normal voice inside the car, hear the stereo etc. But it was almost too civilized. It did not sound like te beast that it was. I purchased a pair of exhaust cut outs and mounted them on the resonator tubes. The result, quiet and civilized, or more of a loud beast. All at the flick of a switch. All still running through the original mufflers. So it is all street legal. I can sound like a muscle car at the stop lights, and purr like a kitten on long highway cruises without the exhaust drone
If anyone doubts resonator tubes work, this proves it!

Hey, Ive been following your post all along, its commin great. Ive been building a 67 cobra clone and found that there a few company's offering offering a electric cut out that you can operate in the drivers seat at the flick of a switch. Your car is farther along than mine and has been giving me a lot of inspiration,THANK YOU. That thing has a great stance,great color, and a great sound. HOT HOT HOT

Thats the way to do it. Quiet when the cops are around & loud when you want to be noticed.

But then I guess when your driving a Shelby you get noticed whether it quiet or loud. :-)
