vsp i think was a product of a network who are wanting to control where we go and how much we spend on vision care. you would think anyone could see this as a program to take our freedoms away to shop for a competitive price for glasses. after the monthly premiums and the inflated doctors prices, it is always cheaper not to have vsp then to have it.

Mr. Nye has a very good point. Video games, as well as computer screens can harm your eyes if your face is too close to the screen.
He is not saying that just playing games will harm your eyes, but being too close to the screen will. Bill Nye rulez. =D

He's right. I don't wear glasses but I noticed my eyes deteriorate because I've been too close to the screen. Heck, I even tackle this subject matter in Neuroscience once so I can vouch what he's saying.
