@Fragile0Still I'm a huge fan too, but how do you mean "simple"? I think everything about it is incredibly complex, from their musicianship, to the ideas presented. Do you mean it's "simply", like pure emotional music. Again, no bones to pick, well said, just curious.

@Fragile0Still Yeah, a lot of bands do this. Metal fans make it seem like their genre is the only one with an ounce of thought or emotion put into the music, when in reality bands like Godflesh and Isis are riddled with cliches.
I've been told that I'd like Neurosis (I'm not a big fan of metal) and I don't really mind them thus far, not sure I'd listen to them on a consistent basis though.

I'm surprised i found one person that actually took the time to dislike Neurosis and post many comments out of either disdain or incomprehension. Neurosis is simple, emotional music. Sure, if you don't give the band time and envelope yourself completely they will seem ultimately redundant, but they are in fact one of the best bands i have ever heard from an emotional standpoint. Aside from Godflesh and Isis has a band ever confronted negativity with such a sound and actually made you better?
