Capable of scanning a diverse range of documents thanks to its variety of feed features and a newly introduced sensor support mechanism for thicker items, the DR-2580C packs a lot into a small package. * Scan Speed : The DR-2580C delivers quality scans at top speed 25 pages per minute and 50ipm for A4 * Rapid Recovery System : The new Rapid Recovery System reduces the impact of errors by not sending abnormal or badly fed images, and allows scanning to resume immediately without having to delete or rescan affected documents. * Auto Shading Adjustment : Built-in shading boards on both the upper and lower sensor units automatically adjust shading to provide stable, high quality images every time. * 3-Dimensional Colour Correction : New advanced 3-D colour conversion is built in to ensure the appropriate combination of RGB data, improving on existing, less accurate, gamma correction. * Improved Black & White Contrast : Seven varieties of B&W Contrast are available to effectively adjust images to their appropriate contrast -- from light text on light backgrounds to dark on dark. * Straight Path Feeding for Thicker Items : Straight Path feeding allows easy scanning of thick documents such as driver's licenses, plastic and business cards -- even thick cardboard up to 546g/m2. * Double Feed Detection : The DR-2580C detects the length of documents to prevent the occurrence of double feeding. * Instant Functions at the Press of a Button : Users can designate three conveniently located job buttons with their choice of automatic function, including "Start / Stop", "Scan to Print", "Scan to PC" and "Scan to Mailer" -- a feature that provides an easy operation environment for even non-dedicated operators.
