15 15th fifteenth battle against The Sentinel "Argus" Praesidium Vigilo. Playthrough Walkthrough part 19.

This was a trial to say the least, I wanted to find out if I could get up without using the ruins around to climb up to the top, I found a way that works but only with perfect timing and using the physics to your advantage.

Shadow of the Colossus, released in Japan as Wander and the Colossus ワンダと巨像, Wanda to Kyozō, is a Japanese-developed action-adventure video game developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEI) for the PlayStation 2. The game was released in North America and Japan in October 2005 and PAL territories in February 2006. The game was created by SCEI's International Production Studio 1, the same development team responsible for the cult hit Ico.

The game focuses on a young man named Wander who must travel across a vast expanse on horseback and defeat sixteen beings, known as colossi, to restore the life of a girl, Mono. The game is unusual within the action-adventure genre in that there are no towns or dungeons to explore, no characters with which to interact, and no enemies to defeat, other than the colossi. Shadow of the Colossus has been described as a puzzle game, as each colossus' weakness must be identified and exploited before it can be defeated.

@AgoraAPohaFicoSeria Camcorder, av cables from TV output to camcorder (w/HDD), USB to PC to backup the video files after recording them, produce from powerdirector express, and then use a video editing program and produce them once more. The Shadow of the Colossus videos were run through Windows Movie Maker which I deem obsolete at this point. I use Camtasia 7 now. This game is exclusive to the PS2, but recently also was re-released in the Ico & Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection on PS3.

@DaveTheBlueBlooder My videos tend to find alternate / tougher routes to get onto the Colossus, mostly just to show off. The actual way to get on top of him is to use the environment to give you a boost when he stomps on it with his foot. First stab his hand so he drops the stone cleaver. Then, whistle and get it's attention to stomp on one of the shelves on the ground lining the walls, this will boost you enough to jump up to the ledge and climb up the walls of this place.

@DaveTheBlueBlooder Chances are, I will later on, replay this game in HD when I get the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection as well as the Hauppauge for HD video recording. Then I will play the "normal" way, but add in last scene clips using alternate routes to climb the colossus. THough that project would likely be extremely far off into the future.. or it seems that way.
