11th Dream Day "Among The Pines", Millennium Pk. Chicago In HD

The New Music Mondays is a series of free concerts that take place at Chicago's Millennium Park. The bands are usually non mainstream rock sometimes with an international point of view. Last year I saw a Norwegian noise rock band that played 20 minute songs that had people fleeing. This year the series kicked off it's summer run on May 23rd with a rare appearance by Chicago rock legends 11th Dream Day. Drummer Janet Bean broke her ankle the day before so an emergency replacement was brought in. Featured in this clip is "Among The Pines" from their Prairie School Freakout album. Which would have to be on that list of classic rock albums that way too many people have never heard.




The band released a new album earlier this year called "Riot Now" and is well worth checking out.

@aracona1 Yes this was from the opening summer free concert at Millenium park. It's an all time favorite of mine and I was so psyched when they played it.

My favorite song ever! The replacement on drums wasn't bad. But it was good to see Janet assisting over by the side. Way to hang in there sweetie! It wouldn't have been the same without you! I assume this was 2011? Wish I had been there!!!!
