You people do realize these facts only have a hint of truth to them.For example most fish aren't intelligent nor capable of complex thought.Some sea mammals and creatures similar to the octopus are capable of this.Sea life is a very broad term and the title mentioned fish.Neither a dolphin or an octopus is a fish.Also fish is actually very beneficial to health.It contains omega 3 fatty acids and other beneficial supplements that I'm not going to note.Feel free to look them up.I didn't realize i

@StrainChain Fair enough.

@C48813 And I agree. The only reason why I dont eat meat is because of the cruelty animals go through. I also only buy free ranged eggs. I dont know if I would still eat meat if I knew they were taken care of, but the problem is when I go out to eat it's just to hard to know where the meat came from. So I just dont eat it.

@TheAtheologian Well said.

@StrainChain Not all animals we eat are raised in factory farms (which i think is cruel). Some are still raised on proper farms and are well looked after and the way most animals are slaughtered now is by passing and electric current through its brain so they are unconscious and cant feel anything then there necks are slit killing them instantaneously. And to me that's more humane than shooting them. The only things i would say were cruel is factory farming or killing infant animals.

@C48813 But that still does not justify cruelty toward another living thing. In modern day we have the ability to not eat meat and be healthy. If everyone stopped eating meat for a few months to strike animal production factories then those factories would have to change their ways. Back when people needed to hunt for their food they were greatfull and understood the life of the animal. Now all people think meat magically show up on supermarket shelves and doont care where it came from.

@StrainChain Yeah i see what u mean as the fish do go through more pain than other animals and it isn't fair but we still need to eat and eating both meat and plants is better than just purely meat or plants.
-
@C48813 That may be true but why do we need to torture living things in order to eat them?

@haydenvegan Not Natural? Oh so now, evolution and adaption are not natural... Okaaay. I get the points on fish and I don't like to eat it very often, but in the last few years, fishing regulations have change a lot. Anyway tho, PETA or any other group is not going to effect thousands of years of Human culture, very drastically. I understand not being cruel to animals, but they were put on Earth by God to be eaten, I think PETA should start focusing more on regulations on this and..

@haydenvegan (continued)... stop with trying to make everyone a Vegetarian. We are at the top of the food chain because we are the most cunning and smart, still that does not make us, in any way, good stewards of the less powerful creatures on our Earth. I think that they should make it so it's not as cruel to the animal when slaughtering them, then again, you ARE killing them, so.

Good thing I don't like fish
Here's one statement for vegetarians if humans shouldn't eat meat then why are our teeth designed to tear, slice and grind the fact is we are omnivores we need mixed diet of meat and plants to get our vitamins, minerals, protein, fibre and enzymes if we were purely vegetarians we would be as active as plant material takes longer to digest than meat.

@C48813 Good points, but if you do some research, humans are not natural omnivores (as most people think), we are actually vegetarians. Our intestines are long, we don't have teeth designed for ripping flesh, but to grind grains and chew plants. These are not pro-vegetarian points, but factual human anatomy.
