  • there is circuitry to boost the 3v up to 180volts to fire the tubes.

  • @diodewatch11 - It is pretty much the biggest watch you will wear - so while its reasonably practical - I tend not to wear it every day - but more for "occasions"... :)

    Still working great! Love it!

  • great watch , im thinking of getting one , i see youve had it for a while. assuming the wow factors died down , is it practical or is it a watch you would wear on an occasion

  • How can you run B5870 tubes with a 3 v battery?? The datasheet says "supply voltage = 200".
