@r0ne123 when mario's flying and hits an enemy, he stops flying and becomes invicible during a few seconds (that's why he flashes on and off)

how did he make mario jump in the air at 3:00?

I just push very briefly the A-button the first time, and then once again when I'm in the air. If you push A for too long the first time, you won't be able to do it a second time.
