The 1st public transport system of its kind in Southeast Asia, the jeepneys, electric-powered versions of the Philippine icon which traces its roots to the US Willy's jeep, were launched by GRIPP (Green Renewable Independent Power Producer) in cooperation with Greenpeace. The Electric Jeepneys are meant to steer clear of the use of fossil fuels to help mitigate climate change, even as it addresses urban problems such as air pollution and solid waste.

  • i trully also believe that the water-power car invented by a Pinoy should also be put into consideration with the goverment and public support

  • paano itong pag umu-ulan? sapat na po bang mga incident awareness? sapat na po ba ang pag tetesting nito sa kong ano mang panahon aabotin?

  • It is fine to have an electric jeepney, but is it really the answer? Electric vehicles have a very limited range. They have heavy lead batteries. More pollution is caused by generating more electricity. I think bio-diesel is more effective. Modern diesel engines are much less polluting than their earlier counterparts.
