Tempest 2000 (Atari Jaguar)

If only all Jag games pushed the console as hard as this :(

I agree, but from my understanding, and research, the Jaguar was damn hard to program for, So most games never took full use of the system, similar thing happened with the Sega Saturn, neither company gave great 3rd party developer support for either system as well.

yeah, i'm keeping my jag, just to play tempest 2k occasionally. to watchers who haven't played it, once u do play it, it just draws u in, addictive and simple, but nice gameplay.
Anyone should go and try the lastest version of Typhoon 2001 - its superb, the best "tempest" since the jag one, modern visuals and same addictive play, that many of the other ports and versions never really got hang of.

Why all the hype for this game ? I think it looks and sounds like one of those crappy freeware / pd amiga games . Horrible .

*sigh* good ol' atari. Tempest 200 is one of those games that say that graphics doesn't matter. (if you remember AVGN say that)
