The great man was contented to just sit behind Aussie elite Craig Mottram until the final stretch where he just so easily passed the leader. Check out the leg turnover of the short man!

  • Every race should be filmed like this. The viewer gets a true sense on how fast the athletes are going.

  • In my opininon, there is only so much training can do for someone who is not built for running. The true champions are born with the legs for it and with that hard work, can accoplish great things.

  • what's the name of the song in this video?

  • Thank you very much Craig - the lead-out was beautiful.

  • drafting

  • gebre is the king in my oppinion. he has to be one of the most acomplished athletes in his era. however mottram ran one of the best 5k's in history in this race. gebre was first but there were two winners. He stuck it to the big man with over a lap to go and that takes balls of titanium. I'm just saddened that most people now adays cant even comprehend what it would take to run under 13 min for a 5k. And at the same time we have social degenerates, like teves who get paid to sit on the bench!

  • im pretty sure haile could have left a much bigger gap early on if he wanted to

  • Ha ha ha! Look at Mottram! It's pitiful to see his futile struggling.

  • I would of stopped short let him slam into me then took off :) I guess that's why I'm not at this level.

  • @voidwareprohibited If you ran your absolute best and still got outkicked you wouldn`t be annoyed? It`s not so much that the other guy won, it`s how he won. Racing for place rather than time does two things: it shows that you don`t care that you are performing at your top level, you just want to be better than the other guy, and it makes it somewhat personal winning in that way. Just my opinion, I guess.

  • @voidwareprohibited Sooo... unless I`m going to win the race, I shouldn`t try to win? Trolls gonna troll.
