First off, this is not one of the newer wrx's. The bug-eye looks nothing like a camry, and don't get so butt hurt because I actually enjoy driving. To each his own man.

No. I did some "spirited driving" but I never thrashed it. No powershifting and maybe half a dozen times launching it since I've owned it. Half the reason I bought a subaru was because I wanted it to last, but c'mon, it's a wrx! You gotta have some fun

whats the easyest way of changing the clutch. Gearbox out or engine out?

I have a 02 and have 112k on my clutch and just started slipping guess I made it longer than most. I think going stage 2 really put a beating on it.

Just test drove a 2004 legacy with a real bad slipping clutch just like that. I hope nobody buys it like that...

@LIlowendNYC I've got 140k miles in my Civic, family owned since 99'
i got the same exact issue on my 130k 03 wrx. is it just the pressure plate or whole clutch kit that gotta replace?

I would only recommend getting a whole clutch kit INCLUDING a lightweight flywheel. I know some people say they don't recommend it because it could mess up timing *idk about that* but I switched to I believe a 12lb flywheel and it free revved SO much faster. Perfect for fast shifting too!
