Glenn Hughes and Jon Lord of Deep Purple reunited on stage at ChildLine Rocks 2009. Thunder was the house band.

Apologies for the lack of steady hand - my area of view was between a very tall man and a woman with big hair, and as I am short I had to hold the camera above my head to get what I did - and even then I was forced to divert in one direction or another if someone else was blocking the view - so this isn't perfect by any means! But it does give you an idea of how brilliant the evening was. • Anyone knows who's on drums?

  • @Oberhoffer I am pretty sure it's Harry James of Thunder. Must say, I really like his drumming. :)

  • Now, I can die.

  • Tanks a lot, great video, although lacks steady hand... I was at Jon Lord concert with St. Petersburg Symphonic Orchestra in Moscow one month ago - this was wonderful! And last fall I also was lucky to see Glenn in Mocsow - he is still a GREAT showman, he really made the audience go crazy playing MK3 mega-hits - Stormbringer, Sail Away, and Holy Man - it was never played in DP concerts...

  • yeah, i see one genius prefers ian gillan in this one. rather interesting since gillan had nothing to do with this song... and no, it was not only coverdale. it was coverdale and hughes sharing lead vocals in the original version.

  • This is so blissfully good I am actually crying... Two of my fav DP men. Love.

  • kakav seronja!!!!!!

  • Glenn Hughes-Hard rockin soul brother #1! If you don't know about his band Trapeze from early 70's, check out "You are the Music" and "Medusa"

  • Glad you captured this regardless off the imperfect camera work it really captures the vibe on the night! LFJ

  • Tommy's diggin it....One of the best songs on a highly underrated album "Come Taste the Band"...Wish David n Ian could have been there...Miss Tommy...
