This clip includes an interview with Rudi Altobelli

No mention of any of the other victims apart from Sharon Tate, so we'll do it for them.

  • Thanks! Yeah I was on vacation last week so am playing "catch-up" in all phases. In the process of moving to newly built home too so it will be sporadic but I'll be around making my big mouth known. LOL!

  • @Eddy1963 Vacation sounds good. I good do with one.

Look forward to seeing your sporadic movements on the board soon :-)

  • That's exactly what I thought the first time I watched this on 20/20. Altobelli didn't move in two weeks after the murders either. I know he said that himself but it was a longer time..unless he meant the guesthouse!?

  • @Eddy1963 Eddy, there you are. We've missed you at the forum

  • Altobelli was a freak, seemed proud of having moved back in. What a creep--- Also, he sold the house to another idiot who ended up destroying it. Now an ugly, over-the-top, boring, new mansion is built there. I can't believe anyone tearing down any Hollywood house. Things you can't replace...historic charming homes everywhere just torn down. In their place, stuff thats just not on a human scale. Today its all about MORE and BIGGER. Nothing is good enough. WEIRD.

  • this guy is sick and fealthy. he sued for damage of blood to carpet and made sharon tates dad clean it up. he is a piece of greedy shit..what a sick bastard brags about moving into that house just a few weeks after the murders.what a sick bastard. and over all totally godless and GREEDY...SICK

  • Rudi is a dickhead!

  • From what I understood from magazine, newspaper and web articles, someone bought the property, tore it down, built the gigantic, over the top mansion on the property, and STILL people would not buy it. It stood empty for more than a year, that's for sure. Some producer of 80's sitcoms lives there now, & he's had no hauntings. Now, his neighbor a few houses down evidently is haunted by some of the murder victims.

  • Rudy Altobelli was NOT a Freak ! I had a clothing store during that time, and Rudy and Stuart Cohen were my business managers. He was one of the kindest persons I've ever known. What he is speaking is the truth. I spent many hours at that house.

So, please if you don't know what you are talking about, stop judging him.

  • @cubomania3 Altobelli is the one who tore down the original house and built the mansion. He had a name for it, I'm certain there are fans on here who know more about this, but the name of the masion had the word "Bella" for beautiful in it. He loved the view. I think that he was odd, but he was villified for years and had nothing to do with the Manson creeps or the crimes.

  • @ciccicasillas I agree. I have studied the case for over 30 yrs. and think Altobelli has been judged a little harshly. He may have truly cared for Sharon as a friend and when someone you care about passes, sometimes it's comforting to be near something they loved. It is said that Sharon called it her "love house". He must have felt a kinship with someone who loved the property as much as he did. As for sending Roman the bill to have the carpet cleaned, maybe his Home. Insur. insisted on it.

  • @zzzbbbooo more awful about Altobeli is that he asked Roman Polanski to pay for the carpet being dirty from Sharons blood! I cannot believe that he was not strongly criticized in media for this! He is sick man to me.

  • This guy is a freak.

  • @gooniegoogoo62

He was stupid, that's all. It annoys me that he sold the house to some jackass that tore it down too.

  • As beautiful as the house and view was, I find it incredible that the owner could move back into it three weeks after these awful murders. The killers and their motives were not known at that time. Wouldn't he be worried they might strike again?
