Halifax County High School class of 2010 football standout Markee Brooks has been selected to play for the West team in the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Football Game. Brooks, a senior, will play in the slot position on offense and will be a kickoff returner for the West team in the game that will be played July 9 at Darling Stadium in Hampton.Brooks is measured at 5"11 in height and weighs in at 185 pounds
Brooks, a First Team All-Western Valley District Team pick, caught 23 passes for a total of 365 yards and scored four touchdowns this past season. As a kickoff returner, Brooks had 11 kickoff returns for a total of 386 yards and one touchdown.
