Based on the UK series 'The thick of it', In the loop follows the inner workings of governement as a war in the middle east is about to break loose. This scene is one of my favorite scenes from to movie, with a brilliant James Gandolfini as an anti-war general with some odd quirks.

There's a sad moment when he says "that's how many are going to die", almost like you can see in his eyes that he really knows what it means
