GB still needs to mandate for a *compulsory* "hazard-warning triangle" to UNECE 27R spec for cars, vans and 4WD categories.

AND for high-visibility safety vests (EN471) in the same category vehicles.

Even China has done this now.

well women in my country are causing the most problems, they tend to do shit that theyre not supposed to do. I have no idea how they pass the drivers exam, but i see them everyday, causing dangerous situations, it makjes you think how can they drive themselves.....

As the guy pointed out, the drivers still need to learn to drive properly, the problem is so many people just amaze me at how they even PASSED a driving test let alone don't crash each day because they expect everything to be done for them.

Yeh, I doubt I would pass my test if I had to re take it tomorrow. Same goes for every person I know.

Fails for speeding: 49
Fails for shouting abuse at other road users: 117
Fails for talking on a phone whilst smoking and steering with your knees: 14

In the UK, it seems we have made progress with this. For the first time since 1922, there have been under 3000 deaths on UK roads- I understand thats one of the lowest rates in Europe. But its still thousands of people killed unneccessarily. 38,000 deaths in the EU in one year- thats more people than the war in Somalia this year!

Interesting to see the mention of stopping distances. I've long thought it would be much better to have stopping distance rather than speed limits. The introduction of CCTV, congestion charging, traffic monitoring, more advanced speed cameras, etc may make enforcement of such a policy more realistic. A lot (the majority, IIRC) of accidents happen at relatively low speed, and I suspect a good proportion are to do with impatience.
