@DiAnno13 I've often wondered the same thing. According to my sister it's because when people first started writing they wrote in cursive & in cursive a W looks like 2 U's stuck together.

I also love the sound effect for the worm. As a child I would try to emulate the sound whenever I saw a worm on the ground. It's too bad worms don't naturally make that sound - the world would be more fun if they did.
