This place I came across down the road from me has a ton of old cars. These are just a few sitting in the woods. There is about 200+ cars, but these are just 1/4 of the ones sitting in the woods. There is atleast 100 sitting in the woods, the rest are behind a chainlink fence behind a house.
I call it memory lane junkyard because as you are going down the road, you begin to see cars on the side of the road and up in the woods. They start out old like cars from the 30's, then the farther down the road you go, the newer they get, 30-40's-50's-60's-70's and yes 80's . newest car I saw was a Mercury Lynx.

  • @spudone1000 ya thats true

  • @vwbusssesareforever Agreed another problem is the people themselves They come into a place like that and think they can buy parts for 1940 prices $25 for a motor $5 for a starter etc.. I always did good in these old yards by buying something small and paying the asking price plus a little extra that got them to open up..Its their property pay their price or leave...

  • great video

  • @spudone1000 the thing about scrapping is that its a complete rip off!!! You could part these cars out for more than what you could ever get at a scrap yard. Besides, once youve destroyed it, and given that car a death sentence, theres no getting them back.

  • @spudone1000 Yeah. A 70 y/o black woman owns the land these cars are on. They are all gone except for 2 of them. One is a black 1964 Belair 4dr sitting under a half fallen down wooden shed/garage, and on the outside of it is a 1968 Chrystler 300 with the hood up on it. It has a 440 in it too! I got busted though when I went there and saw them. Thats when the guy told me about his cousin and how she had scrapped all the cars in this vid except for 2.

  • @99svtgreensnake Mater is dead now. They have all been crushed now :(

  • @vwbusssesareforever Its has been confirmed that all but 2 cars were crushed :( All thats left is a 1964 Chevy Belair 4dr, and a 1968 Chrystler 300

  • I live in Yankton S.D. and can think of several that have disappeared in the last twenty years within sixty mile radius. What happens is the old guys die and everybody wants to clean up the (mess) I miss walking through these old graveyards. Another big problem is that the cars are worth more for iron now... back in the day Im talking the sixties the cars had little recycle value and you just took them to where there was more room to keep them. Its really sad to see the old ones go!!!
