Chopin's first nocturne, Op 9 No 1. I love this piece and playing it has helped me get through tough times in life. I find the tempo can change depending on my mood - sometimes slower when I'm sad or contemplative. This recording is a little on the faster side.

  • I have listened to your pieces and I love the way you interpret them! I also find interesting that you and I play a lot of the same pieces and with similar interpretation styles. You play very beautifully. Keep it up!!

  • Thanks for your compliments! Well, Chopin was the poet of the piano, so maybe he deserves the compliements :-) I find my interpretations to be highly influenced by Artur Rubinstein's recordings. Perhaps we have the same source of inspiration?

  • Nicely done!!! Your interpretation is close to mine:). Try not accenting the last note in each phrase.

  • Thanks for your comment. It's an immensely beautiful piece that can be played in so many different ways. I checked out your videos - you have a nice range of pieces in your repetoire.

  • Beautifully played! A nice clear video, too. Greetings from Scotland.

  • bravo!

  • i love this so much you play it beautifully!

  • I searched this because I like this piece, but what I notice about the video (ofc you play perfectly) is how lovely the room seems.

Looks like the instrument is the centerpiece of the room and it must be very sensational sitting and playing there with back against the window.

The floor is clean, walls are blank, not much stuff piled up and you dress so tidily yourself, it really leaves all the room for the music.

The video is a such a pleasure to watch and listen to. I applaud.

  • Great ! Nearly perfect and close to Arthur Rubinsteins interpretation.

The first Time I (only) heard your interpretation I thought it was him ;).

I try to play in Rubinsteins way too, but it is hard work !

    Admiring Greetings from Germany

  • So nice

  • So brilliant.

  • Well, that is a beautiful interpretation, very clean with many expressions. I like this kind of rubato, especially in Chopin's music. Your piano has a great sound. Bravo!
