All about my Treepod, a device that allows you to shoot like you would with a tripod, but using a tree as the base. This incorporates my PVC Camera Mount, so you'd do good to watch that video as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syFuK8N1dDs
The supply list is as follows:
out of 3/4 inch fittings
3 T fittings
2 45 degree elbows
2 90 degree elbows (I incorrectly say 45 degree elbows in the video)
6 pieces of pipe cut to 1 3/8 inches
CORRECTION: I think the PVC should be cut to 1 5/8 inches or 1 3/4. You will have to do some experimenting to get the exact size. Sorry about that.
2 sleeping bag straps from Wal-Mart
None of these pieces are glued, allowing you to bend every joint, making for a very flexible piece of equipment.
Took me a while but.... I now have a treepod, a PVC camera mount (the original one) and a PVC monopod. Pretty cool items. The tree pod makes an awesome tabletop/dashboard pod too. Thanks Paco!

You're quite welcome! And if you find any ways to improve my designs, by all means post a reply!

BRILL-I-ANT. Paco, you are crazy but so very clever - and inspiring! Keep up the good work and keep inventing. I LOL at the nerdy things you do. Man, you are a breath of fresh air.

I make the videos I would want to watch, so I'm glad it resonates with others as well. My ego thanks you.

I was wondering, what weight does it support as is, with out U bends starts to slip out of line by pure gravity ?
In other words how heavy can my cam be ?

That's a good question. My camera weighs next to nothing, so I don't know how much it would support. My suggestion would be to build one and find out. If you send me a heavy (expensive) camera, I'll be glad to test it for you :-)
