Correction; THROW IT AWAY !!!

This a great well meaning video for your desperate times. PLEASE if you can eat afford to, THROW ITS AWAY!!! They can harbor e-coli as well as a host of other bacterias that can make you ultimately pay a highest price, your health.

Or... you throw it away and go get yourself some non infested rice for dinner.

So if you buy a 25 lb bag of rice and you don't store it in buckets, etc...you just leave it in the bag sealed, how long before they start apearing?
ok so the bugs are harmless but what about the larvae? I have found these in almost everything in my cupboards lately. flour, pasta, rice. Now I know that I do not need to throw it out. About a month ago I did throw everything out because of them and they are still here. Also a small moth like bug has joined them.

@sunshinerinker it will not hurt you to eat them all.......we found bugs in our grit container two weeks ago, we sifted them out and put the grits back in the container.......

I have rice and corn and wheat that I have had stored for over a year. I line a bucket with a jumbo 10 gallon ziplock bag and pour in the grain. Remove as much air as I can. I do not use oxygen absorbers. I use dark sided buckets from lowes and seal them. I checked all my stores at the beginning of the summer from last year and there aren't any bugs. I know you can eat them, but like you said, just the thought is kind of gross. EWWWWWW! : )
