Message from the York students to Premier Dalton Mcguinty, asking him to step in and help the 50,000 students attending York University.

It's about time that we end the strike and resume our education. It is our right to be educated and nobody should be allowed to take that right away from us.

Well thank you for saying something more than a year after the strike is over. It is nice to see I have such an effect on ppl. Do you not have studying to do for exams? IT'S APRIL 2010. After years of thinking that Unionized employees at universities had the same interests as them, these kids finally smartened up. It's Vulgar Marxism, stupid! The Unions care about THEIR interests, not yours. The NDP is in the pockets of the unions & doesn't give a shit about students.

Free tuition would be possible, at current funding levels, by cutting expendatures ~30%. This could be done with contracting out some services, reducing overstaffing and eliminating overpaid tenured positions.

1. Catherine is a douche who gets spoon fed mommy & daddy's big bucks so she obviously does not care or take into consideration the union & how essential it is for York to meet their demands.

3. The strike is frustrating me too but it's time to stand up against the York Admin & get them to give our educators a better deal! The York Admin HAS the power to do that! WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU TWATS!

doesnt this University have over 50 000 students... It looks like less than 10% of the University students are holding an Anti-strike rally there

I remain skeptic as to whether or not McGuinty will do anything about this. I say the surest course of action is legal action. If the entire university sued the university, they might cave in to CUPE's demands, and we could finally go back to classes.

Of course, if we could sue CUPE as well, then I'm all for it...
