@crimsonshadows1 The ice is melting (the "candles" are made by the suns rays penetrating the ice) and when the ice is disturbed it slides away from the rotting ice and into the "open" water.

ok im confused. it looks like the water is freezing and expanding into the non frozen water from the ice?

WOW. It looks so cold. One day I hope to go camping in the snow. It has never snowed where I live (OZ). Thanks for posting the vid
