Remember the Mexican-american War of 1846-1848? We started the war then took half of Mexico for an unjust reason.

Cuba messed up on it's own. The batista government was beginning to corrupt. Then Fidel took over and ruined it even more. America helped us a lot. If it weren't for them, we'd still be part of the Spanish. And we begged for independence. America helped. Coming from a Cuban.

@Ryuu501st however the Spanish american war was slightly unjust we didn't really have a cause to go to war with Spain they could never pin the main on the Spanish and Spain was submissive to the united states but it did liberate Cuba from brutal rule and it proved the united states to be a major world power for the first time

@Ryuu501st while you're right about Mexico's population being smaller and their gov't being a wreck the united states did not illegally take Mexican land first of all the Mexicans thought it was shitty land and hardly any Mexicans lived in the north most lived in the south and the united states sent a declaration of war because Mexico attacked u.s citizens first and we fucking paid them a more than fair price for their land which they agreed to

@496gonfishin United States population in 1846: 20 million. Mexico population in 1846: 7 million. Mexico DID NOT have the men required to defeat America, the Mexican government was still a wreck, the nation was barely united and still recovering from it's defeat in the Texas Revolution of 1835-1836. They did not have the military supplies required to even match American forces. Mexico did the best they could, while we illegally took half of Mexico.
