The transformation went right. When a Shinigami, who lost his powers, get them back. He will move into a Hollow, if it doesn't go right. Ichigo got his powers back, right in the moment when he was turning into a hollow, so he has both forms, shinigami and hollow. The white guy is a part of his soulslayer Zangetsu.

The Whitey Boy, Thats Ichigos Inner Hollow Which Sometimes Takes Over To Get Him OUt Of Sticky Situations He Has It Because His Shinigami Transformation With Urahara Didn't Go 100% Right Anyway Later On He Gains Control Of His Inner Hollow And owns :)
