Get real mate, please do some research before posting such a negative comment. Spearfishing is my passion in life and I respect every fish I take. I choose spearfishing as the method for capturing and eating fish rather than suppoting the mass slaughter and waste of fish through commercial trawling.

Just a fact for you, I spent over $6000AUD for the 10 day trip and took less than 15 fish which were all frozen and shipped home. This is much less than the huge amount of useless by-catch taken by commercial trawling. Tell me do you abuse your friends and family that eat fish for supporting such a cause?

sorry guys get you facts right, the amature fishing record for 2009 was 400% higher catch than the commercial guys, its the amaturs that are over fishing the inshore reefs not commercial, i run and work on our commercial vessle in Queensland. respect the comercial guys, we work hard, i spear myself and it is a physically demanding sport. fuck off greenies, i bet at christmas time you all go down to you local fish market and but a few kilo of prawns ans reef fish and they came from us.

the impact of spear fisherman has no impact on the worlds fish populations it is entirely the fault of global overpopulation and commercial fishing.
